The base engine on the new Ford Escape is a 168-hp 2.5L 4-cylinder with a 6-speed automatic transmission and FWD. Meanwhile, the new Ford Edge features a 250-hp twin-scroll EcoBoost® 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder standard engine with an 8-speed automatic transmission and FWD. If you prefer it, AWD is optional on both models.
