Ford Protect Extended Service Plans
There are four Ford warranty plans that you can pick from, starting at the least expensive and moving up from there. Here’s our Ford factory warranty breakdown:
- PowertrainCARE: This plan covers 29 components of your Ford regarding the engine, transmission, RWD, and FWD. Some components will not be covered, but all the major ones are. For instance, the radiator is not covered.
- BaseCARE: The BaseCARE Ford warranty will bump you up to 84 covered components. This gives you all the components of the PowertrainCARE plan in addition to steering, brakes, front suspension, AC and heating, and electrical components. Still, certain aspects won’t be covered like the anti-lock brake module.
- ExtraCARE: You have 113 covered components for your Mascoutah driving pleasure. You get everything covered in the first two plans with the added bonus of tech and convenience features. This accounts for everything from keyless entry and power window motors. It does not cover the Ford SYNC® or rain-sensing wipers, though.
- PremiumCARE: The PremiumCARE plan covers over 1,000 components for your Columbia Ford. It covers anything not covered in the first three plans, so rest assured that your Ford will be covered no matter what happens.
Ford Protect Premium Maintenance Plan
If you’re anxious about routine maintenance, the 5-year/60,000-mile Ford Powertrain Warranty will cover a lot. However, when it runs out, you can count on the Premium Maintenance Ford factory warranty to cover oil changes, multi-point inspections, and tire inspections and rotations.
